July 2: Rockland
If Debbie had balls, it would be a big set. She spent the night sleeping upright at the dinette in preparation for a 7 am departure despite the recent rearrangement of her face. The cats were actually afraid of her.
Luckily we immediately encountered dense fog which is PERFECT for someone with only one really good eye. What’s there to see?!?!. The lobster traps seem to get more frequent which is such a plus in reduced visibility. The swelling around her left eye went down a bit otherwise I was going to whip out one of those pirate eye patches we have for the boat parade.
Today’s route took us past many beautiful islands and lighthouses we couldn’t fogging see. But we were THRILLED that some of the lobster traps seemed to swim! They were SEALS! I tried all day but the little bastards swam faster than I could get a photo of them.
Thankfully, the seas were calm as we navigated the tricky inside route. We were in a hurry to beat the low pressure system headed our way.
We arrived at 11:30 and I even had time to walk to Walgreens before the rain set in.

Soooo glad it wasn’t worse, Deb!
