June 18: Atlantic City

It’s Father's Day and the cats didn’t do a THING for Debbie. So we went offshore for this leg of the trip.

In fairness, there is no other way north than to take the Atlantic  to Atlantic City. The wind was calm and the trip could not have been better. Although Peanut rode in his litter box, he didn’t barf and that speaks volumes.

Offshore we could see a place called Wildwood and it had a bunch of roller coasters and stuff.

Then we approached Atlantic City and the amusement parks were more adult oriented with Bally’s, Harrod’s, Hard Rock, MGM and of course, the Golden Nugget where we docked.

We went in the Golden Nugget and it was like a creepy trip back in time where people smoked inside and gambling in the morning was perfectly okay…so we hit the bar to discuss how wrong that was. Not really. We waited until after lunch.

On our way back to the boat, we noticed bottom growth on our hull that can slow down our speed. On further inspection we discovered they were shrimp!

Deb rinsed the boat and I did food inventory. We have reservations for tomorrow night across from the Statue of Liberty! Gonna be a long day offshore. Hoping for calm winds and following seas. Miss y’all!

  3. So did you keep those shrimp 🦐 hanging out on the bottom of your boat? Easier than shrimping with lights?? 🥰 V& T
