June30: Boothbay

We left South Portland around 9:30 after showers and fueling. Luckily there was really light fog in the morning…but it got thicker instead of lighter as the day wore on.

Debbie discovered that she could magically make a lobster trap appear by simply engaging the auto pilot.

On our way out, Captain Catherine texted that there were reported humpbacks in the area  so we have no visibility, lobster traps, rolling seas, and the occasional flipping WHALE! And this is vacation?!?!?!

I actually sort of had PTSD from the last outing so Peanut went to the litter box and Gaff passed out.

We did okay in the waves but there are rocks in the middle of no where!

We arrived in Boothbay around 2:30 at the Tugboat hotel and marina. We were greeted by the bartenders who saw the cats and invited us to the bar!
The sun actually came out so we toured the town and met many people at the breweries and stuff. Gaffer got to go to the flybridge  but there was a hotel maid who went by rolling a vacuum cleaner and it terrified him. As it does me.

We will do some more exploring tomorrow!

  1. Let’s like much fun with the girls and that area looks beautiful. We’ll be very jealous with everyone being in PTown for the 4th. Have a great anniversary!!
